We bought Gwillym from Cerys Brook (nee Reynolds), in 1998 as a foal. At his first show he was Champion and afterwards he was always at or very near the top of the line. However once Gwillym had run out with his mares, his enthusiasm for showing waned and although he would show he was not very enthusiastic.
This was not a problem because he was producing stock that were more than happy to show and were doing very well.
Gwillym has produced some good stock for the Blackhill Stud and this season Springbourne Stud are expecting their first crop of foals by him.
This year Gwillym has travelled to Belgium, to the Voermanhof stud, belonging to our friends Marc and Anita Aerts and as it is a while since he has been shown, they are going to give him a chance to see the competition in their area.
