In 2003 we were really lucky when Rhodé Thielen van Praat from the Vennebos Stud in Holland offered us the use of Quinnell for the following season.

We used him on four of our mares and had three foals the following year, two colts and a filly. They were all very nice and it was very disappointing that Cledwyn Penny, the fourth mare, was barren (no fault of the stallion, as she was barren the following year as well).

The two colts, Sarum Rembrandt, shown for us by Adam Fletcher and Sarum Japhet, owned and shown by Nicole McGuire, have done very well in the show ring and the filly Sarum Waterlily will be coming out soon with her owner Nicky Hedden.

When we realised that Quinnell worked so well with our mares we asked Rhodé to tell us if she ever wanted to sell him and fortunately for us, at the end of 2008 she decided to.

He is a lovely stallion both in looks and temperament and we are delighted to own him and have him back again.
